Responsible Investment Strategy

PRI The FRR is one of the founding members of the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), having joined the United Nations initiative as early as 2006. The PRI consists of six voluntary principles that investors can endorse. This reflects a proactive approach to integrating ESG factors into their management and decision-making processes. For over 20 years, the FRR has integrated Environmental, Social, and Governance factors into its investment decision-making processes, policies, and shareholder practices. The PRI acts in the long-term interest of its signatories, financial markets, and the economies in which they operate, and ultimately, of the environment and society as a whole. The Six principles to which the FRR commits are as follows: • Incorporate ESG issues into investment decision-making processes. • Incorporate ESG issues into ownership policies and practices. • Request that the entities in which they invest publish reports on their ESG practices. • Promote acceptance and implementation of the PRI among asset managers. • Work collaboratively with financial sector participants committed to the PRI to enhance their effectiveness. • Report on their activities and progress in implementing the PRI. The FRR voluntarily reports to the PRI on its ESG initiatives annually to ensure it adopts the best practices of a responsible investor.

The Forum for Responsible Investment (FIR) – The French SIF (Sustainable Investment Forum)

Founded in 2001, the FIR is a multi-stakeholder association whose social purpose is to promote and develop responsible investment and its best practices. The FIR is a key player in dialogue and engagement with listed companies on sustainability issues.

The objectives of the Forum for Responsible Investment are to intervene in legislative debates on responsible investment, initiate or support research initiatives in the field of responsible investment, and strengthen dialogue with companies and civil society on CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) themes.

The FRR is involved in several FIR working groups, including the working group on transparency and measuring the effectiveness of shareholder engagement with companies, and the collaborative engagement on the Just Transition.

The FRR is also a sponsor of the FIR-PRI Academic Award. The European FIR-PRI “Finance & Sustainable Development” Awards were created in 2005 by the FIR to recognize excellence in academic research in the field of finance and sustainable development. The Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) have been partners since 2011.

IIGCC

The Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC) is a network of European            nstitutional investors committed to combating climate change. It works to integrate climate issues into investment decisions by promoting the transition to a low-carbon economy. By collaborating with public and private stakeholders, the IIGCC influences environmental policies and supports sustainable practices in the financial sector.

FRR has been a supporter of the initiative since 2015.

CDP

The financial world’s initiative with CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project), founded in 2000, aims to encourage companies and financial institutions to disclose their environmental and climate data. Its main objective is to enhance transparency and corporate accountability in managing climate risks and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. In the long term, this initiative seeks to direct capital flows toward more sustainable projects and businesses, thereby contributing to the transition to a low-carbon economy. Today, over 700 institutional investors, representing approximately US$130 trillion in assets under management, support this approach, including the FRR since 2005.
